How can care homes cope with the increases in the National Living Wage?
The latest issue of Caring Times (March 2017) contains our article all about the impact of the National Living Wage on the care home sector.
We believe that an increase in weekly fees of 2% per annum will result in profits dropping to 70% of current levels by the year 2021. And an increase of 3% will not be enough to keep profits at the current level beyond 2019.
The care sector is under immense pressures but the National Living Wage is an enormous issue for care homes of all sizes and something that we think is keeping care home operators awake at night.
